Artist Profile : Mike Biggar

MikeBiggar-ECMA-redMike Biggar is an award-winning Country-Rock artist from Canada’s East Coast.  His infectious melodies are well-spiced with lyrics of life, love, and loss.  Powerful, punchy anthems with generous helpings of clever hooks and smart writing sit opposite intimate, tender ballads. Soaring vocals, honest lyrics and keenly focused performance energy concoct a compelling musical potion that makes instant fans of those who listen. Biggar’s soulful voice intimates a genuine vulnerability and draws listeners into his critically-acclaimed song writing.

A veteran winner of both Music New Brunswick (2011) and East Coast Music Association (2012) awards, Biggar was signed to Busted Flat Records (F>A>B) in 2012 for national promotion and distribution of his latest album FEELS LIKE NOW (09/2013).  And with his much-anticipated new release, Biggar stakes his claim as a serious contender on the Canadian Country Music landscape. He was a national finalist in the 2013 CCMA FanFest Performance Contest and was recently named a 2013 semi-finalist in the prestigious, global International Songwriting Competition.

With a fast-rising profile as a soulful country artist who refuses to be ignored, Biggar has become a sought-after tour and festival performer on Canada’s East Coast, including appearances three years running at the massive Cavendish Beach Country Music Festival, performances at The Stan Rogers Festival, Larlee Creek Hullabaloo, Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival and more.

National touring to support FEELS LIKE NOW is set to begin in the spring/summer of 2014.
